ADEPT Live Labs
The ADEPT SMART Places Live Labs programme is a two-year £22.9million initiative funded by the Department for Transport (DfT) and run by the Association of Directors of Environment, Economy, Planning and Transport (ADEPT). Eight Live Labs projects, led by local authorities with private sector and university partners, are developing and testing prototypes and applications across SMART materials, communications, energy and mobility.
Coast provides strategic communications for the Live Labs programme, working with government and corporate partners, including DfT, to deliver a central communications strategy. Our work has seen extensive media coverage in both national and specialist publications, regular blog and social media activity, and the development of protocol and brand documents as part of a communications toolkit. We also provide communications advice and support at individual project level, including a series of workshops to facilitate collaboration between the live labs and extend the reach of their communications.
Coast’s expertise in engaging with political influencers and the media has been essential in promoting the value of the programme and associated projects.
