Website showcases the best of Devon - Businesses discuss how Devon Delivers

4th November, 2014
4th November 2014, Exeter - Devon County Council will tomorrow launch a major update to its inward investment website to showcase how Devon delivers for businesses.  The new online initiative will be launched at the b2b@SandyPark Business Exhibition in Exeter on Wednesday (5th November 2014).

Sharing how businesses are thriving across Devon, the website www.investdevon.co.uk has been created to encourage businesses across the UK that are considering relocation to put Devon at the top of their list of potential locations.

Featuring success stories from a variety of Devon-based businesses, www.investdevon.co.uk gives prospective inward investors an insight into Devon’s economic growth and business profile.  Businesses thinking of relocating to Devon will also be able to seek advice and information on what Devon can offer.

The new website also features a section on how local businesses can help spread the word about how Devon delivers.  A network of ambassador companies are already promoting Devon within their national and international networks and Devon County Council is encouraging more businesses to take part by providing facts, figures and resources.

Speaking ahead of the launch, Devon County Councillor Andrew Leadbetter, said: “Devon is a dynamic and thriving environment for businesses.  As part of our inward investment programme, Devon Delivers, this website is sharing what Devon businesses do best and showcasing what the county has to offer.”

Adam Stone, CEO of Exeter-based Rokk Media, added, “Devon has so much to offer and we’d encourage any business thinking of relocating to come here.  The Devon business community is really thriving.  It includes examples of world-class innovation, technology and creativity, and we have a highly skilled workforce. Rokk Media is delighted to be an ambassador for Devon through the Devon Delivers inward investment programme.”

Devon County Council is also running a seminar as part of the b2b@SandyPark Business Exhibition to encourage local businesses to get involved with the campaign. The seminar ‘Devon Delivers: Growing Networks, Building Business’ at 12.30 pm will give details about the inward investment programme and how to build more opportunities for business growth.

Businesses are encouraged to visit www.investdevon.co.uk/ambassadors to find out how they can get involved.
